Profile

 I start by staining the back of the canvas with transparent pigment to create the first layer. I continue to apply layers of paint to each side of the surface using pouring techniques, brooms and scraping tools. I strive to create both tangible and visual depth by incorporating color theory along with collage and unorthodox impasto techniques. The paintings are a collaboration between myself, the surface, gravity and the unbridled spirit of the pigment. In life you can only control so much as well as in painting
