Talking Geometry

After a full journey of realism in portraiture, streetscapes – as also in landscapes and surrealism – Sanjay Bhattacharyya enters his stark new world of geometry.

The palate is stark too: the two ends of light – black and white , where some colors enter almost as guest appearances. The rest is almost as if one stood in a dark room and looked out of a grille which admits light in its unpredictable ways – dots, triangles, or almost a rhombus, an arrow of surprise, a diamond and many imperfect shapes that add up to a perfectly present work of art !
